About this coffee

The blend that changes with the seasons, for drinkers who like their regular cup to keep them guessing.

Medium Roast | Milk Chocolate, Cinnamon, Hazelnut & Plum

A rotating mix of Papua New Guinean, Brazilian and Ethiopian beans, built around milk chocolate and toasted hazelnut. A little cinnamon warmth and a lift of plum keep it from sitting flat.

The roast lands in the middle of the range, so it is forgiving if your dial-in drifts. It holds its own black if you want to taste the fruit.

Singular Roasters

Carlisle

Singular built their range on one promise: single origins good enough to stand on their own, roasted for simple, consistent brewing at home.

Their coffee bars in Northbridge and the city are worth a visit too.

Espresso starting point

Dialled in on a Breville Barista Express

Dose
16.5g of fresh grounds in the basket
Yield
36-38g of espresso in the cup
Time
28 to 32 seconds, timed from the first drop
Grind
Fine, like caster sugar. Bitter and slow? Go a touch coarser. Sour and fast? A touch finer.

Tip: Start here. Not quite right? Change one thing — usually the grind — and tomorrow's cup is better. Today's is still fresh coffee.

Questions about this coffee

Where does this sit for strength?
This sits in the middle of our range. Smooth enough for everyday drinking, with enough body to hold its own in a flat white.
How fresh is this coffee?
Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what didn't work and we'll help you find something closer to your taste. Full policy in our help centre.
Will this work with my machine?
Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
