Espresso

BREW RATIO - 1:2
(Basket Doses at 18-19g)

Does: 22g | Yield: 40-44g | Time: 26-32s

Standard Brewing Guide For Filter & AeroPress 

  • Coffee: 20g (Filter) / 15g (AeroPress)
  • Grind Size: Medium (Filter) / Medium-Fine (AeroPress)
  • Water Temperature: 94°C (201°F), just off the boil

Filter

  • Pre-rinse the filter paper with hot water.
  • Add ground coffee.
  • Bloom: Pour 50ml hot water, wait 30 seconds.
  • Pour remaining water slowly in a circular motion.
  • Enjoy!

AeroPress (1:16)

  • Use 15g coffee per 240ml water. Increase for multiple cups (example: 60g for four).
  • Bloom: Pour 50ml hot water, wait 30 seconds.
  • Pour remaining water.
  • Insert plunger, steep 1 minute.
  • Press slowly (20-30 seconds).
  • Enjoy!

Tips

  • Water Temperature: Experiment slightly below 94°C for different flavors.
  • Grind Size: Adjust for a perfect extraction time (around 30 seconds).
  • Scaling (Aeropress): The golden ratio is 1:16 (coffee:water).
  • Dilution (AeroPress): Your brew may be strong, dilute with hot water to taste.
