June 2026 Featured Pair: Offshoot Coffee — Ethiopia & Colombia

For June, both single origins come from Offshoot Coffee, our Roaster of the Month. A natural-process Ethiopian on one side, a clean Colombian smallholder lot on the other. Two different origins, two different roast levels, two different drinking moments — selected to show what Offshoot does when given room to work across regions.

Dimtu (Ethiopia) Light Roast | Berry, Date & Stone Fruit A natural-process Ethiopian, dried slowly on raised beds to deepen the fruit. Berry and stone fruit lead, with date sweetness sitting underneath. Best on filter or as a black coffee — the profile carries enough detail that milk would flatten it.

Pequeñas Fincas (Colombia) Medium Roast | Gala Apple, Golden Raisin & Sugarcane A clean, bright Colombian sourced from premium smallholder lots across Huila. Crisp apple and golden raisin sit over a steady sugarcane sweetness. Easy to drink from the first cup, with enough character to hold attention through the bag.

Together, they cover most of how single origins drink. The Ethiopian for slow filter brews when you want the fruit to come through clearly. The Colombian for everyday cups that handle black or milk equally well.

Best way to experience new coffee

We were fed up buying bad coffee beans from the supermarket and didn’t have time to go to the farmers market of roasters too often.
