Espresso

BREW RATIO - 1:2

Does: 18g | Yield: 36g | Time: 26-28s

Standard Brewing Guide For Filter & AeroPress 

  • Coffee: 20g (Filter) / 15g (AeroPress)
  • Grind Size: Medium (Filter) / Medium-Fine (AeroPress)
  • Water Temperature: 94°C (201°F), just off the boil

Filter

  • Pre-rinse the filter paper with hot water.
  • Add ground coffee.
  • Bloom: Pour 50ml hot water, wait 30 seconds.
  • Pour remaining water slowly in a circular motion.
  • Enjoy!

AeroPress (1:16)

  • Use 15g coffee per 240ml water. Increase for multiple cups (example: 60g for four).
  • Bloom: Pour 50ml hot water, wait 30 seconds.
  • Pour remaining water.
  • Insert plunger, steep 1 minute.
  • Press slowly (20-30 seconds).
  • Enjoy!

Tips

  • Water Temperature: Experiment slightly below 94°C for different flavors.
  • Grind Size: Adjust for a perfect extraction time (around 30 seconds).
  • Scaling (Aeropress): The golden ratio is 1:16 (coffee:water).
  • Dilution (AeroPress): Your brew may be strong, dilute with hot water to taste.

Best so far

Great for latte, cappuccino, flat white, ...

Its cocoa notes work very well with milk type of coffees. Cocoa notes apart, it is a balanced blend. Given it is medium roast, you might need to grind it a bit finer than other beans.
