About this coffee

Clean, bright and quietly sustainable.

Omni Roast | Orange, Caramel & Cocoa

Santa Rita is a Rainforest Alliance certified farm in Jinotega, one of Nicaragua's best-known highland coffee regions. This washed, strictly high grown Caturra lot cups at 84+, putting it firmly in specialty territory.

In the cup you get orange up front, then caramel sweetness settling into cocoa at the finish. The acidity is citrusy but civilised. Nicaraguan coffees often sit between the brightness of Central America and the chocolatey weight of South America, and this one lands right in that sweet spot.

The Rainforest Alliance certification reflects strong sustainability practices and worker welfare standards on the farm, so the coffee holds up ethically as well as in the cup.

Roasted omni, so it works black or with milk. Perfect for anyone who likes their coffee bright but not sharp, with enough caramel and cocoa to keep things comfortable.

The roaster

Artem Coffee

Mount Pleasant

Artem began with a trip to Hawaii's coffee farms and a second-hand roaster in a Perth garage.

Darren and Tracey have spent nearly a decade obsessing over getting every batch right, so you don't have to think about it, just drink it.

Orange and caramel doing the work, cocoa tidying up at the end. A properly balanced Nicaraguan.

28 to 32 seconds, timed from the first drop

Questions about this coffee

Where does this sit for strength?
Every coffee we list sits somewhere on a range from gentle to punchy. Check the roast level above, or ask us and we'll place it for you.
How fresh is this coffee?
Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what didn't work and we'll help you find something closer to your taste. Full policy in our help centre.
Will this work with my machine?
Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
