About this coffee

A decaf that holds its own against the real thing, for evenings and cutbacks.

Medium-Dark Roast | Red Apple, Dark Chocolate & Cinnamon

Swiss Water processed to pull the caffeine and keep the flavour. Sweet red apple and dark chocolate with a hint of cinnamon warmth.

Full enough to carry a milk drink, so a late flat white still tastes like coffee. Medium-dark, so it leans rich rather than bright.

Glad we made the change

“As a long time drinker of good coffee the change to decaf was one made reluctantly. Brightside Surprisingly Good Decaf made making the change oh so easy. Now I can still get the full coffee taste and mouth feel without the jittery anxious edge of regular coffee.”

Brightside Coffee Co

Osborne Park

Brightside don't roast anything until you order it: Matt and Edith roast your beans to order in Osborne Park, with the name of the farmer who grew them on every bag.

Fresher coffee, and you know exactly where it came from.

It always delivers great taste even you overextract or underextract. It's very forgivable for beginner home baristas.

Questions about this coffee

What's this decaf actually like?
Full-flavoured and closer to a dark roast than most decafs, with dark chocolate and red apple up front. Decaffeinated before roasting, so the flavour does the talking.
Where does this sit for strength?
Every coffee we list sits somewhere on a range from gentle to punchy. Check the roast level above, or ask us and we'll place it for you.
How fresh is this coffee?
Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what didn't work and we'll help you find something closer to your taste. Full policy in our help centre.
Will this work with my machine?
Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
