About this coffee

The decaf for people who normally refuse to drink decaf.

Medium Roast | Nutmeg, Brown Sugar & Milk Chocolate

Swiss Water processed, so the caffeine is gone but the flavour is not. Nutmeg and brown sugar over a smooth milk-chocolate finish.

Full enough to hold up in a milk drink, which is where most decaf falls apart. Pull it like you would a regular medium.

Dose: 16.5g of fresh grounds in the basket
Yield: 36-38g of espresso in the cup
Time: 28 to 32 seconds, timed from the first drop
Grind: Fine, like caster sugar. Bitter and slow? Go a touch coarser. Sour and fast? A touch finer.

What's this decaf actually like?

Milk chocolate and brown sugar warmth with a touch of nutmeg, as comforting as any regular medium roast. Mountain Water decaffeinated before roasting, so you're tasting the coffee, not the process.

How fresh is this coffee?

Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.

What if I don't like it?

Will this work with my machine?

Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
