About this coffee

For drinkers who like their coffee a little bit dessert.

Medium Roast | Cherry, Stewed Plum & Dark Cocoa

Colombia and Ethiopia together, with cherry and stewed plum over dark cocoa. Rich and indulgent through milk, made for cappuccinos and mochas, and black the fruit comes forward with a dark cocoa finish. A Bronze medallist at the 2026 Golden Bean, and exactly as decadent as the name suggests.

Best for
cappuccinos or mochas

In milk

Dark cocoa and cherry through milk, rich and dessert-like, like the cake it's named after.

Black

Black, the stewed plum and cherry come forward with a dark cocoa finish.

Cherry, plum and dark cocoa in one blend. It drinks like dessert and I mean that as the highest compliment.

Espresso starting point

Dialled in on a Breville Barista Express

Dose
16.5g of fresh grounds in the basket
Yield
36-38g of espresso in the cup
Time
28 to 32 seconds, timed from the first drop
Grind
Fine, like caster sugar. Bitter and slow? Go a touch coarser. Sour and fast? A touch finer.

Tip: Start here. Not quite right? Change one thing — usually the grind — and tomorrow's cup is better. Today's is still fresh coffee.

Questions about this coffee

Where does this sit for strength?
Sits toward the richer end of our range. Deep and dessert-like rather than aggressive.
How fresh is this coffee?
Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what didn't work and we'll help you find something closer to your taste. Full policy in our help centre.
Will this work with my machine?
Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
