About this coffee

For after-dinner cups, and anyone tired of decaf being a compromise.

Decaf | Orange Peel, Malt & Dried Apricot

A Colombian lot from Maria Del Carmen, decaffeinated with ethyl acetate derived from sugar cane, a gentle process that leaves the flavour where it was. Malt and dried apricot sweetness carries a late flat white, and black the orange peel brightness shows through with no decaf flatness. Roasted fresh in Perth.

In milk

Malt and dried apricot sweetness carries through milk, smooth and mellow.

Black

Black, orange peel brightness over malt, with no decaf flatness.

The sugarcane process keeps the flavour where it was. Orange peel and apricot still singing, and nobody at the table will pick it as decaf.

Questions about this coffee

What's this decaf actually like?
Orange peel, malt and dried apricot with real definition. Decaffeinated with the natural sugarcane ethyl acetate process, so the flavour stays put.
Where does this sit for strength?
This is a gentle one. Mellow and smooth, more about sweetness than punch, and it still holds its own in a flat white.
How fresh is this coffee?
Our roasters roast fresh for us in small batches, and we usually dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Coffee actually improves for the first week or so after roasting, then holds well sealed. The roast date is on the bag.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what didn't work and we'll help you find something closer to your taste. Full policy in our help centre.
Will this work with my machine?
Yes. If you're pulling espresso, the Starting Point above gives you a dose, yield and shot time to begin from. Every machine and grinder is a little different, so expect to adjust from there.
