A dependable everyday blend, made with Kaltiva just for PCX.

Medium-Dark Roast | Chocolate, Toffee & Brown Sugar

Chocolate, toffee and brown-sugar sweetness with a medium-heavy body and a clean finish. A little nuttiness and a hint of dried fruit round it out.

Especially good in milk, but forgiving enough to pull a solid espresso too. An easy one to come back to while you are dialling in a new machine.

Kaltiva is a small-batch roaster run by founder and head roaster Liam Valiukenas out of Wangara, where the HQ doubles as a roastery coffee bar you can walk into.

They roast daily, and their blends are named for everyday moments rather than origins: Foundation, Pathfinder, Neighbourhood.

No surprises, in the best way. It's the bag you reach for when you just want a good coffee, not a project.

Espresso starting point

Dose: 17g of fresh grounds in the basket
Yield: 36-38g of espresso in the cup
Time: 28 to 32 seconds, timed from the first drop
Grind: Fine, like caster sugar. Finer slows the pour, coarser speeds it up

Tip: Give a super fresh bag a day or two to settle after roasting before you judge it. The taste evolves over a few days.
